Maybe life will separate us,
Yet we'll always be best friends.
So may love, until life ends,in joy or sorrow not forsake us,
Sunshine on the darkest day.
Each breath of peace that fortune sends recalls a bond time that can't be betrayed,
A true friendship that means love and forever.

♥ student card = house key

Indeed, this is a technology era. VH, my on campus residential place was given this budget and chance by the Uni to improve the security problems. One of the task is to change the house and room locks to a computer system lock. Put it in this way, we the 'experimental white mice' have the privilige to enjoy the most updated student card= house key system to open ur door, either the house or ur own room. If it works well in VH, this system will be promoted to other on campus residential places. So..this is how it works:

The front door sensor.

Just put your student card in front of the sensor, dit dit...when the light turns green...OPEN SESAME.

The barrier to my room.

It works in the same way, student card, DitDit...Green light on, OPEN SESAME!

And oh yeh, its a waste of time for you to try to open VH houses' doors with your own student card unless ur one of the resident here. We the residents have a special coded student card for every unit and every room =)

So..goodbye to keys....

I actually quite like to flat house key though =)

*Thought of the Day: Prayer is the KEY to heaven, but faith unlocks the door.

♥ land of euphoria--coming soon

Do you see what I see?

-----

Stars glowing bright in the sky,

guiding her through the Land of Brittle Exams.

Marshmallows fell like snow falling,

shaped the paths that she could walk on.

-----

-----

And beyond the bushes of Exams,

she forsees the other end of the world-
Land of Euphoria:

Ferrero Roche balls that she can bounce on,

Hershey Kisses as hats that she could wear.

-----

-----

Chocolate cakes are Rocky Mountains,

Kit Kat bars are canoes floating on the lake made of chocolate milk,

Famous-amos are like comets hitting the lake,

crumble, crumble, crash!!!

-----

-----

Cheesecakes are fluffy chairs next to the peaceful lake,

caramel popcorns are little daisy flowers blooming,

and finally ice creams colours mixed up,

painting a beautiful sunset in the sky.

-----

-----

-----

* One month to go...I shall see my Land of Euphoria =)

♥ Blessed are the givers..but

That is how much one of the beggar in China Xi An earns PER DAY. Local people had assumed that they earned more than a normal working person.

It is despair to see such a scene, its like they are playing on the heart- string and sympathy of human nature. A very good example, my dad. Last year when we went to Shanghai this lady came and beg for money. The tour guide actually WARNED us NOT to give a single penny to them. According to him this is the government's will. And yes, I ignored the lady. My dad, always with the biggest generous heart on earth, in the end gave her some money. Guess what happened? Im not exaggerating but the fact is there's this whole bunch of beggars roughly round 15 people came for my dad, begging for penny. In the end we had to literally run into a restaurant.

There's always this basic economic laws of Supply and Demand that controls social behaviour: "When a beggar receives a donation (pay for his begging), the market correctly interprets to mean that the market likes beggars and the result is that there are soon more beggars." So...to give or not to give?

China slowly needs to start looking over the needs of the very poorest who are the unfortunate but inevitable victims of the transition to capitalism, and start to deal with these so called beggars who are actually able to get a proper job and live a normal life. May God continue to bless China.

*Thought of the Day: Give the gift of your own smart, focused, enthusiastic action you recieved from God to the world today. There's immense value just waiting to be created, and now is the time to make it happen.

♥ laughter--the best medicine

Something random:
Just something random:

And finally....something serious...my master piece of pamphlet for Pharmacognosy, a herbal medicine named CHASTE TREE:

Sigh, time to get back to bloody Chemo....I truly believe that weather affects a person's mind and emotion. This is EXACTLY what Im going through now.HOT weather, SHORT temper.I wish...I wish for a cup of nice and cool ice cream now...(cookies and cream!) (Now this reminds me of YYM's 'ice cream heals' theory...)

Who will ever say NO to food? Nobody! Food is one of the essential things in life. As for her, food is her second life. =) Where ever there's food, there she shall be...and yes, this included the Uni Pasar Malam.

Poster of the Pasar Malam, personally she likes it alot...piece of good art =D

Bunch of them went to the Uni Pasar Malam round 5pm. She was actually quite excited since it was her 1st pasar malam in Aussie. And yes, our sense of smell is really a powerful contributor to the experience of eating. The tinge of aroma of food had stimulated all of them to hunt for food, so off they went!

Ramlee burger stall.Malaysia boleh!

Baby octopus, rojak, 'put zai gou', nasi lemak

Satay, fried chicken, curry fishball, tantart

'Hum jin bang', the green thingy (my favourite), yam cake, apam balik

The stage

And the food hunters!

With bloated tummy, she's happy =) Yes the diet plan, she remembered. Oh well, a great food booster before the coming battle is necessary and reasonable right? =)

Great night, great weather, great food, great experience and great companions. Thank you Lord for tonight. I am blessed.

♥ The Battle within

As they wandered through her room and among her piles of sorrow,
she was almost concealed.

They wrapped their covers carefully around her without making a sound;
no matter how soft they were, they bruise her brain;
not knowing the damage, a dreadful melody they sang.

Caged in their covers she started to worry,
she started to cry and her vision gets blurry,
she doesn't know where she should start from.

While starting to realize she was meant to love them,
her spirit slowly starts to dry.

If only she had heard their screams,
if only she could spend more time with them,
if only...

♥ Hi to darkness...

It has been a while since I slept with lights on every night. Don't get me wrong, Im fine with darkness, plus...I LOVE darkness. Its just that ever since I had been in Perth,Im used to wake up everyday in light than in darkness, especially during the winter times. 8am class everyday, course I would be worry that I couldnt make it. I remember how exaggerated I was last year when I went to my housemate's room and studied with her. While we nap, she switched off the light, I was literally TOUCH and SPEECHLESS in that milisecond. I was saying: 'Ann, I haven't been feeling as happy as tonight! I haven't feel the darkness for ages.'

[Oh yes, to the girls..alot of studies found out that by sleeping with lights on there's a higher risk of having breast cancer. It has something to do with melatonin. =S]

I love darkness, I even love glow in the dark stars and moon. Its my all time favourite. Just love laying under the dark sky, seeing the glittery accents shining all over. By just thinking about it brings a smile to my face. Rather than sticking stars and moon on the ceiling, technology brought up this thing called the Star Laser Projector. It creates thousands of stars with or without blue cloud formations. It definitely caught my heart and my sight. And hence, till now... I am still dreaming a bedroom full of glittery stars or a galaxy ceiling. =)

LJ used to give me heaps of these. My room now is prettier because of these =)

My dream ceiling of galaxy =)

The star laser projector. Definitely in my dream list =)

And so, tonight... With lights off, say hi to darkness, say hi to my glow in the darks, and say...Buenas noches to myself...Starry starry night...(psss.... Do you think there are more stars in the sky than grains of sands on the beaches? I believe the galaxy is bigger hehe..)

*Thought of the day: Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.

♥ Antidepressants needed??hope needed??

Does the word TRUTH scare you or excite you? The truth can be horrible...either your telling it or hearing it. Still, the truth heals but the truth hurts too. Yet some are only so called 'truth', the 'truth' made up by human gestures.

And as for human nature, we always focus on the negative truth more than the positive truth in a person, situation, or circumstances. It is said that for every negative statement we receive (or speak) wewill need five positives to counteract that negative. Seems like it is easier to give criticism than encouragement. So, why do we tend to pick out the bad in another than the good?

While reading the news I came across this heartache news. FOUR KOREAN STARS SUICIDE IN A MONTH.

安在焕、崔真实、张彩苑、金智厚

Apparently South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world for these five years. SK police admitted that mental illness, even depression have been less discussed in SK. To them it is a shame and akward thing. Hence, suicide rate just increased as years go by. Question: The suicide evil spirit incantation attacks the South Korean entertainment world. Why? And who should be responsible for these? Themselves or the people who gave input in so called 'truth' and critisms?

Causes of death:

安在焕 -(Sept 9th) Under the pressure of huge debt, he committed suicide by burning charcoal in the car.

崔真实- (Oct 2nd) She can't withstand the so called 'truth' on the internet that backstabbed her as the person who indirectly cause 安在焕 's death. She hung herself in the bathroom.

张彩苑- (Oct 3rd) She is one of the denatured entertainer like 河立秀. She didn't cope well with the pressure of her relationship and people's teases and chose to follow the others' footsteps, ended up committed suicide.

金智厚- (Oct 7th) He publicly acknowledged himself was homosexual. Since then his star way started to be blocked, the discrimination and the criticism sound were unceasing. He chose to hung himself in the end.

I must admit that we will never know what each of them had went through and suffered. A star road was never easy to be walked. Yes indeed, even as students we ourselves had faced so many trials and errors. For the four of them, the people who suffered in the end are their family. Sigh, I sincerely pay my condolences and pray that they will get through this. For four of them, may they RIP.

So.. antidepressants and hope time.

Antidepressants :provide the relief from psychological and physical symptoms, enhancing functional capacity and reduces the likelihood of suicide.

Examples: Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, phenelzine, paroxetine

Adverse effects: Hyperreflexia, clonus, tremor, shivering, sweating, fever, diarrhoea.

Hope : Hope implies perseverance. Hope is holding on when you cannot see the outcome, truly believe and having the faith that the good day will come.

Examples: -We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

-Two blind men pleaded for mercy:"Do you believe that I am able to do this? Yes, Lord," they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you." Matthew 9:28-29

Adverse effects: If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.Isaiah 7:9

So far without the symptoms of depression, I personally chose hope and faith in God. Our faith releases God's power to perform these magnificent miracles. It's not about believing in the miracle. It's not about believing in the chance or probability. It's not about believing I have to receive my miracle. At times, it's not even about the miracle and wanting it. It's about believing in MY God to do this. I HAVE HOPE! Amen!

Life breaks us all..but many are made strong at the broken places.Challenges of life may seem overwhelming. Get ourselves moving, little by little everyday, in a positive direction, and those challenges will suddenly feel heaps smaller!( I know, its a piece of cake to say, Im in the process of learning too.) And yes, have faith, the Lord our God will always shine his blessings and guidance on us!

♥ El bendijo little girl

Did you ever wonder where the time has gone? In fact, it has not gone anywhere. Time keeps coming in an endless procession, and as soon as one stage is finished, there's another journey waiting for you. This is exactly how I feel now.

The other day I was literally forced by ZL to take a glimpse at my own teen blog that I wrote years ago. And yes,I was totally embarrassed about it. It was so dodgy and corny!I was giggling all the way. Yet the bright side is, I finally understand that life has brought me into another stage. At least older? (great, trying hard to spilt out the word m-a-t-u-r-e)

I always believe that the teen years of life shaped and defines what he or she truly stands for. Experiencing life at teen age was sometimes phenomenal and at other times difficult but exciting. I must admit, I had a wonderful childhood and teenager life. Though not perfect, but great enough to make me felt blessed!

the childhood me

the school photo of teenager me

Those were all history. Today is wide open. It does not have to be like yesterday, or any other day. There's more than everything you and I already know. And yes, as each day unfolds, feel what it is to be alive more profoundly than you have ever felt it before. Blessed are we to have another today and yet many more tomorrows to go!

(I wonder how would I react when I read back this blog years later...and yes, happy 1st post to myself.)

*Thought of the Day: It is easy to be hurtful and negative about our past mistakes and unhappiness. But it is more healing to see ourselves and our past in the light of experience, acceptance and growth.
